Beauty from Ashes

My friend Kristen's son, Keanan, came home from Haiti today. They've been in the process of adopting him for two and a half years, and Kristen was in Haiti visiting him when the earthquake hit. She and her daughter were evacuated, but they had to leave Keanan behind. Almost two weeks later, the government has granted humanitarian parole to Keanan, and this afternoon he landed in LAX. They can finish the adoption process with him here at home.

What happened there was horrific, and thousands of children are newly orphaned, joining the thousands that were already parentless.

But God is still God, and he still performs miracles. He still draws beauty from the ashes.
