Five Months!!

Dear Benjamin,

Today you are five months old! I can't believe you have been blessing my life for almost a half of a year, now. Time is going by so quickly!

Some of your loves and accomplishments so far...

Your first love is your feet. You LOVE your feet. The moment I lay you on your back, you kick your feet up, and, if you're wearing socks, pull them and suck on them until you pull them straight off. If you're not wearing socks, you stick your precious little feet inside your mouth and suck away.


You love to talk and make noises. You babble on endlessly, sometimes pausing for a deep sigh, to us, your toys, to nothing at all...it's very sweet.

Everything you see goes into your mouth. Toys, hair, clothes, paper--you name it.

You also suck on your lower lip a lot, which is funny.


You love your thumb.


You eat two meals a day of cereal, and you love it. Your new favorite game is taking the spoon and putting it in your mouth (of course).


You can push up, roll over, reach for your toys, stand up (with a little help for balance) splash in the bath, laugh, and, gloriously, sleep all night.


We love you, B, and we can't wait to have your first Christmas next week!
