Four Christmases Part 2: Christmas Eve in Auburn

After settling in to Paul and Amy's house and visiting for a few minutes with Matt's mom and sister, we headed to Matt's dad's house in Auburn. It was a nice evening. Matt has a big family (he's the middle of five), and there are five little ones six and under, so it was a little chaotic. It was also the birthday of Matt's brother, so it was a double celebration. Ben was, for the most part, great. He allowed himself to be passed around, held by little kids, sucked on by another baby, and smothered by his cousins. He did, however, start to get a little overstimulated and overtired. By the time we got to Jon's birthday cake and gifts, Ben was melting down. We stayed as long as we could, and ducked out after quickly opening our gifts.

It was really nice to see the family, though, screaming baby aside. Our nieces and nephews are getting so big! We haven't been up since spring, and it was good to be with everyone again.

Poor, unsuspecting Ben.
